Professor Jim Black
Professor James L. Black has been on the faculty at Johnson State College in the Business and Economics Department since 1987 and is presently Professor of Management. Professor Black is also President of Software Seminars Inc. which provides training to a number of corporations and government agencies. Jim received his Ph.D in Systems Science, M.S. in Mathematics, and B.S. in Psychology at Portland State University. He was on the faculty at the University of Connecticut, School of Business Administration where he taught Information Technology and Quantitative Methods. His current areas of interest are: the Entrepreneurship, Workforce Development and Leadership. His academic specializations are: Management, Systems Approach to problem solving, Java Programming, Database,and Quantitative Analysis. His passions are: teaching, muscle cars, politics and economic development.
